Happy Halloween!

Halloween has never been an exciting holiday for me, not that I have anything against it, I just have never been big into dressing up in costumes. Landon on the other hand, is a big fan of Halloween. From what I hear, Halloween was a big deal when he was little. He had to have the perfect costume and many times that perfect costume changed from school to the evening when it was time to trick-or-treat. He also was determined to find the BIGGEST pumpkin when their family went to the pumpkin patch. He wouldn't leave till he had found a pumpkin that would top his brother's.

This year I got into Halloween a little more. Henry had to have a Halloween costume. I found the perfect costume at a local pet store for $7! Then I had to keep it a secret for almost a month. Secrets are normally not hard for me, but when Henry looks so cute it's hard for me to resist putting pictures on facebook or sending them to my family.

So for Henry's perfect costume.........

I think he makes the best looking pirate around and Sunny makes a darn cure hot dog!

 

Then Henry was so kind and wanted to share Halloween treats with all his friends! Sunny, Ike, Milo and B! We really missed princess Ellie, Buddy and Kato.

 

 

My First Halloween Decoration

Since moving into my apartment it has been a little bare. I have some pictures on the wall, of course I have to show Henry off any time I can. With the small amount of decorations I did have, none were for fall/Halloween. Chris Unruh changed that! She gave me my first Halloween decoration for my apartment!

Everyone needs a little Freddy's

Everyone needs to splurge every once in a while. You can't eat spinach and blueberrys  for every meal.  Next time you decide to stray away from your heart healthy diet try Freddy's Frozen Custard. I must say they have the best hamburger and french fries around. I have never been a huge fan of McDonald's, Wendy's or any other fast food hamburgers but since discovering Freddy's I really dislike all those other places.

Even Landon, a true McDonald's lover, loves Freddy's! (His McDonald's habit has been addressed since his semester at Bethel)

I must admit.....we have been eating way to much Freddy's.

From the health promoter side of me, I would not recommend becoming a regular at Freddy's.

Between Freddy's visits please stick to the heart healthy diet!

CRAFT TIME

During my break as Sedgwick County Health Department intern and Sedgwick County Tobacco Health Educator I have had lots of time to craft! One of my several projects was a R for my apartment door.

 

 I have a couple other projects in the works and several projects on hold while my cricut is getting replaced. 

Stop by anytime to see my "R" up close and in person ;) or any of my other projects! Henry and I always love visitors.

One very loved puppy!

Henry loves mini Dingo bones (mini bones for mini dogs)! Dingo bones are not exactly cheap. However, I discovered that they are about half the price if you purchase them directly from Dingo online rather than PetSmart or Petco (We are members of both!). I also like Dingo bones because they keep him distracted from his rope.



Today, Henry received a special package in the mail......

.....6 bags full of mini dingo bones!


 Henry is one VERY LOVED puppy!
